Learning Labs

For the 2007 National Conference our Learning Labs will be organized by our Navigator Regions. Staff, spouses, and guests are all invited to attend these regional learning labs.

When you register for the conference, we will ask you to sign up according to your region. A list of states in the designated regions will be provided for your clarification. The exception will be the headquarters staff. We invite our HQ staff to consider attending a Learning Lab from another region in order to get better acquainted with our field staff.

The schedule for the Learning Labs is as follows:

FRIDAY, November 2, 10:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

The Learning Labs are being designed by the cross-mission regional leadership teams. Each one will have a unique flavor designed just for that region. This will be a great opportunity for you to get to know others from your region as well as learn what ministry is happening there.

SATURDAY, November 3, 10:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

The National Training Team, in partnership with a cross-mission training group, has designed an interactive experience you won’t want to miss. The following is a description of this session:

trust n.
1.  a) firm belief or confidence in the honesty, integrity, reliability, justice, etc. of another person or thing; faith; reliance…
2.  confident expectation, anticipation or hope
–Webster’s New World Dictionary, Third College Edition, 1991

Without trust... we cannot relate well to God and others.
Without trust... our ministry influence will be minimal.
Every day we make decisions to trust or not — to protect ourselves or to live authentically. Decisions made with huge consequences.

During this Learning Lab we’ll interactively explore key issues of trust in our lives and how they affect our unity, relationships, teamwork, and ministry to others. We’ll identify possible barriers that may inadvertently creep in to destroy trust.

Each participant will have an opportunity to design a personal plan toward building trust in their relationships so that personal influence can thrive to advance the Gospel. Take-home resources on trust will be introduced and used. Following the conference you will be able to use this new trust tool in your life and ministry with a variety of audiences.

Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all da loyng.  Psalm 25:4,5

God loves the pure-hearted and well-spoken; good leaders also delight in their friendship.  Proverbs 22:11
